About

Over 45 years ago, Dublin Baptist began with a dream and a desire to plant a church in Dublin. In 1978, Dublin was little more than a few roads, a smattering of houses, and lots of farmland. However, a group of passionate people from Lane Avenue in Upper Arlington stepped out in faith and began meeting at the only high school in Dublin then. In March 1979, they purchased a 6-acre tract of land on Coffman Road, and the dream started to take shape.

The city of Dublin has grown significantly since then, and so has Dublin Baptist. But the passion of the church remains the same. We care about people. We want to be a family of faith that supports and encourages through the struggles of life and celebrates and rejoices in the successes. We believe the Gospel of Jesus changes everything about who we are and how we live. We are committed to sharing the news of Jesus with our community and the world.

What We Believe

We believe the Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit and is infallible.

We believe that the One True God exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe Jesus to be God and became flesh by a virgin birth. We believe in His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary death for our sins, His bodily resurrection, and ascension. We believe Jesus will return one day in power and glory.

We believe in an essential and eternal salvation by grace alone can only be received as a gift of God through faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord.

We believe in the one true church as the Body of Christ, made up of believers who are being equipped to do the work of ministry. We believe the church is locally autonomous and functions through worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism. We believe in two church ordinances: a believer's baptism and the Lord's Supper (Communion).

We believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and believe it should be presented, preached, and shared with all people everywhere. We believe it is the privilege of believers to engage in mission and discipleship locally, nationally, and internationally.

English Language Ministries

The English Language Ministries at Dublin Baptist Church are designed to help you with either conversational English (Easy Conversation Classes or ECC) or in-depth English classes (English Language Learner or ELL). We host an Easy English Bible Study and Fellowship for those who wish to understand the Gospel better.
