In The Know

Sunday, May 15, 2022: Join us for Dr. Rick White’s message at 11:00 AM, in person or on YouTube, Facebook, or go to Dublinbaptist.com, click on the "Online Services" button. Dr. White is a retired pastor from Nashville, TN, and now he works with the Bill Glass ministries. We will be streaming the 11:00 AM worship service. There will be no 8:45 AM service on May 15.

Deacon of the Week: Greg Swallie will be serving as Deacon of the Week for Sunday, May 15, through Saturday, May 21. Please contact him by email at deacons@dublinbaptist.com, or call him at 614-889-2307.

The Big Thing: Bill Glass Behind the Wall ministries assists churches by equipping Christians to share their faith in Jesus Christ with people who are desperate to hear that God unconditionally loves them. The ministry’s mission statement: To assist the church by equipping and igniting Christians to share their faith in Jesus Christ with the “least of these.”

Background Checks: We will have background checks available on May 22 and Jun 5. Soon the summer months will be upon us, and with it will come VBS, Youth trips, special events, and a new Children's Director. Many volunteers are essential to helping these ministries and missions run smoothly. As part of Dublin Baptist Church's effort to protect our teens and children, all individuals working with minors must have a background check on file.

Preschool: On week three of May, our preschoolers will be excited to hear about how God made the birds and fish. We hope that as they go out into the world, every time they see a fish or a bird, they will know that God made everything, and it is good. A preschool volunteer signup sheet will be circulated in our adult Connect Group classes. Please consider stepping in to help once a quarter or once a month. It is easy and lots of fun!

DBC Kids: It gives me great pleasure to announce that Amy Curry is DEFINITELY COMING!  She will be the next full-time Children's Director at Dublin Baptist.  We are praising the Lord for bringing her to us.  God has truly blessed us with Amy.  I am anxious to get her to Ohio and see what comes next in DBC Kids.  At this moment, I am unsure about her timeline for making the permanent move, but as details become available, we will keep you all in the loop. In May, we will continue our study of resiliency!  God is strong and faithful, always working in our lives.  We might get knocked down from time to time, but when we trust God, we find the strength to get back up again.  The following week we will be studying Paul and Silas in Prison, learning the importance of choosing joy when life gets hard (Acts 16:16-40). This is a lesson that kids of all ages need to know!

VBS is going to happen, and we need YOU to help us…
