Outreach

Dublin Baptist serves the needs of others in our community, Central Ohio, across the nation, and worldwide.  From Meals on Wheels to serving at the Stowe Mission on Parsons Avenue, you will find our people helping to meet the needs of others.  As a church, we support missions in our state, nation, and world by providing financial support and taking service-orientated mission trips.

As disciples of Jesus Christ, we take His teaching to “love your neighbor as yourself” seriously.  Not only will you find us supporting and serving others worldwide, but you will also find the nations at Dublin Baptist Church worshiping and serving alongside each other.  We have multiple nations gathered together on Sunday mornings and have language services in Japanese, Chinese, and Tamil/Hindi (India) every Sunday.

Missions

The words of Acts 1:8 drive our focus on missions, "You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."  We support missional work in the greater Columbus area (our Jerusalem), in Ohio (our Judea), across the United States (our Samaria), and around the world (to the ends of the earth).

You will find Dublin Baptist Church praying, giving, serving, going, and sending for missions.  From working with the Stowe in downtown Columbus to helping with Enough Ministries in Barre, Vermont, to teaching English to internationals in Dublin, Ohio, and Utsunomia, Japan, Dublin Baptist is engaged in missions.

We give through our regular budget offerings and through special offerings to support missions.  About 25% of all the money that is given to Dublin Baptist Church goes back out to support mission work and mission projects.

We have also been blessed to see the people of Dublin Baptist Church engage in the missional call and begin to serve in Toledo, Ohio, Southern Italy, Japan, and Africa.  It is   We currently support 16 missionaries through monthly support.  We give to SBC missions through the Co-operative Program and missional offerings.

You can get involved in missions by taking a short-term mission trip with our church.  There is always a trip being planned.  Email connect@dublinbaptist.com and ask to know more about our current mission trips.

Japanese Chapel

This is one of only a dozen Japanese Christian congregations this side of the Mississippi River affiliated with Dublin Baptist.  The Dublin Baptist Japanese Chapel is led by Pastor Masashi Sugita, its founding pastor, who has been here for 33 years.  This close-knit community comprises people Pastor Masashi has reached for the gospel, who have come to the United States on a temporary work permit and reside in northwest Columbus.  Through the ministry of the Japanese Chapel, many of its members connect to Christ and return to Japan as ambassadors for the Lord.  As a result, the Lord has built a network of "house" churches in Japan that are the offspring of the work of Pastor Masashi and the Japanese Chapel.  The Japanese Chapel meets on the main campus at 11:00 AM in room 115/116.  Pastor Masashi also Zooms several Bible studies throughout the week.  To learn more about the Japanese Chapel, please email msugita@japanchapel.com.
